Yeah, this happens still, but I have found that if I bump the lazy car in
front it will wake up and catch the field.  YMMV.

Yellow comes out.  Race back to the line.  Pit road opens up.  Take on 4
tires and fuel.  Obey the pit road speed limit.  Get back onto track and
what happens...

the car you're behind in the standings wont accelerate to catch the
field under yellow.  The green is dropped and you're still 1/2 track
away when you had plenty of time to catch the field.  Pass the guy in
front of you and get black flagged.

This has been around since N1.  This definitely impacts the
"simulation".

Absolutely. I never ran Yellows in N2 and N99 because of this.
I tried them for the review I was writing and boy did it suck.

FWIW, I will make my review available after CGW tells me
they don't want to use it. Also, I am getting a new ISP so
I will be making a web site for reviews and other ***
stuff in about a month. The N3 review will be part of it if
things with CGW fall through.

This may have been cool in earlier versions. However, at this
point it is really unacceptable that this problem was incorporated
from earlier versions of the game.

I've stopped driving with Yellow flags enabled. First of all I HATE those
lousy boring rounds (much too much, if you ask me) and secondly (if I wasn't
involved in the crash) I like to drive around quickly and avoid the crashed
cars (Stay high! Stay high!). Much more fun this way! BTW Anyone knows why
there are so many Yellow laps? Usually I don't see anything left of the
accident after the first round, so why do they let you drive around for so
long?

The number of yellow laps are to simulate real life nascar racing.

I too have had this problem and to make matters worse they field checks up
on the green flag and I end up rear-ending the guy in front of me. Also to
add insult to injury I'm the only one with damage!

Plus, I'd say, to simulate the cleaning up of the track - small bits of
debris, fluid etc.
