Have you updated LFS with the latest Patch?  Have you read the readme,
there might be suggested settings in that.

Mine works fine but LFS didn't see it until I removed the other joystick
that I had installed (it was on the game port, MSFFW on the USB port.)

MS FFW definitely works very well with LFS here, on two different PC's
(AMD/VIA & Intel 815), three OS'es (win98, win2K, winXp).  I have the
USB version, don't know about the gameport one, though.

Good Point.  I believe LFS only uses the first controller, and if you have
two connected the MSFFW might be in a different controller slot than #1.

I HATE it when games that still can't deal with this after how many decades
?

Works fine here.

I've found the middle FF setting to work ok.

If you are running a GamePort version of the MSFFW on Win2K or XP, you might
be out of luck.

I am running the gameport version on xp and everything works fine except I
get no force feedback. Anyone else?

Gameport versions are simply problematic under 2K/XP.  Do not expect
everything to work reliably with every game because it's not going to.

MS has indicated that there will NEVER be a SideWinder software update for
the GamePort versions.

I keep my old Gameport version around for spare parts (I've used a USB
version for 2+ years), though after 2 years I've still not needed a single
thing from it.

Just wanted to say thanks for the recommendation on the MSFFW Larry. I
absolutely love it and my lap times show an improvement as well. I
didn't realize how un-precise my Logitech Formula wheel really was.
