Using the new pedals from Act Labs and the shifter how do I configure them
in RT ?
Right now clutch is throttle and one button on the wheel makes the car move
for about 1 second then go back to neutral...
I have restarted this and I remembered why I had given up, the controller
setting is the WORST of all games, even worse than F1 2001.

Well, the problem for me is that the pedals do not appear on the controller
settings in the game, and if I try to calibrate and go back to the
"windows" controller with the act labs picture I don't know what to do...
Nobody has done a controller patch editor for this game ?

Well, no doubt the game is good, but the controller seting issue is such a
piece of ***
Frankly with GPL being released in 98 I don't see why ANYBODY would use a
different system than the one used by papy....

It's been a while, but I remember battling this one out, and eventually
finding that the only way to do it was by editing input.ini in the Settings
folder.
Then the problem was that the labels in the file for the X Y Z axes were in
the wrong order. A lot of trial and error needed!

Every once in a while I think of installing RT on my new rig, but it
is just this issue (having to figure out again how I made it work the
first time) that makes me not do it. Just no time to fool with one
more thing lately. I got a LOT of mileage out of the game, once I
figured it out, so it is very much worth it to persevere if you've
never played the game.

Simple. Either they think they can do better on their own, or they don't want
to ask for help.
It's strange though that there were very few complaints(that I can remember)
about Papy's controller setup, but a BUNCH about others(notably EA).
But, since I'm not a programmer, I have no idea how difficult it is to program
that. It might be a total *** to do, and Papy just got lucky.
