sounds and looks promising, but so did many titles before it. I do hope
it turns out great!

Yes, but unlike so many other wannabes, this one shows us a very nice
in-cockpit shot in the FIRST batch of screen shots we've seen, which
would seem to bode well.  Still, as you said, "but so did many titles
before it."  Let's keep our fingers crossed -- this could literally be
the GPL of rally racing!

*Finally* :-D

Count me in on this one - if it ever reaches the shops (and I have a
vaguely decent PC by then...)

When I first read about this title (just a few
days ago) I couldn't stop smiling.  What a great
idea!  Fingers will remain crossed until we all
get a chance to jump in, say, a Ford Cortina and
see what it can do.

This is just what I've been waiting for and will continue to for awhile by
the looks of it

I just hope it's as good as they say it's supposed to be. If it is I'll be
real happy with this one. http://www.bugbear.fi/hrally.htm

The screen shots at that site are amazing. They look about as good as WSC in
fact. The only thing that bothers me is that there is very little
information on their website -- no release date, availability information,
demo, etc. We'll just have to wait and see on this one.

JoWood issued a press released a press release on Jan. 12 stating that:

The title is scheduled for release in German-speaking territories, Europe
and other key markets on PC and next generation consoles by the end of 2001
(does that mean US? No idea - Ed.). JoWooD plans to show the racing game at
the E3 trade show in Los Angeles this May.

Well, if the UK isn't a "key market" for a rally game, I'm Markku Aln :-)

Hmm. That's about Spring 2003, then...
