AMD XP1700+
GF3 Ti200
512MB PC2700 ram
Windows XP Pro

Fresh install of F12002 always works fine.
GTR & A147 mod works okay

Then as soon as I try to install BPR mod, the whole lot ctds', even the
original F12002 install in a separate file stops working......

Has an FAQ evolved over what common thinks spook the mods, eg nvidia driver
versions etc.

I've only just got a DSL connection, so I wanted to try F1RST and race
online ( like VROC - GPL ), but the above nonsense is just p#ssing me off.

This happens to me too but you know what I just gave up on it - no great
loss as F1-2002 is ***anyways.

It's sooooooooooooo crap, that these guys wasted months doing mods for it.
Yeah, right. Lets see now, where would GT2002,Alpha mod etc be without
F12002 ?
F1 2002 is a great game in its own right. Perhaps you are just biased
against F1.

Most likely something didn't get completed in the BPR install. The good
news is most likely it can be fixed. Worse case scenario would be just re-
install everything. I've got a half dozen mods including BPR working
sucessfully out of the same F1 2k2 folders. Verify that the track folder
has tracks, and that the drivers files are in the drivers folder and that
the vehicles folder is populated with BPR cars.
Why the other programs are messing up, is perplexing. Check that the
config.ini and gtr2002config.ini files are in the f1 2002 folder. (ditto
for the bprconfig file..)
Don't panic it just may take some time to square it away. FIRST works
with about 5 or 6 different mods, not just BPR, it supports the Alfa mod,
GTR, BMWM3, the F1 95 mod and probably more since last I checked. There
have been some reports recently that FIRST is causing conflicts with the
mods. Your post indicates you haven't tried FIRST yet, but if you have,
that might be the source of the troubles.

check out the various mod forums at racesimcentral and simbin.

I reckon F12002 is well worth playing. I am a big GPL - vroc fan and the
only thing that F12002 couldn't offer me was an online racing facility
because I was stuck with 56k modems.

I did want to build up a whole collection of mods , carsets , tracks &
setups but it all seems very fragile like a house of cards. You build up a
few mods and then you add something that then brings the whole thing
tumbling down.

If I could at least get a 2003 F1 season update running on F1RST using my
500kbs adsl line , I would be quite happy.

Saying a word is making the action of saying the word.

So the action of stealing something can be compared to the action of moving
your mouth/lungs etc to say a word, or moving your hands to write it...
