I just got SCGT, it's really kind of fun to drive, and a nice change
from GPL. But I have a problem and it seems to be with my V3 3000.
Whenever I exit from the game my screen goes dull black and freezes. I
have to reboot to get back to the desktop. It's not just black, it's a
faded black. Does anyone know of this, and is there a way to fix it? Or
am I doing something wrong? I'd hate to take it back, but if I can't fix
it I may have to.

Hi ZZ

Although I can't offer a solution, I wanted to let you know that I don't
think its the program itself.  I too have a V3 3000, but I experience none
of the problems you describe at all.  I still have the drivers that were
released in late July.  If you got the ones from a week or so ago, maybe
they could be the villan?  Anyway, its gotta be either hardware or
system-configuration related.

The box said "Windows 95 or better", so I installed LINUX!

  I too have run scgt with a V3 3000 at 1078x748 it is cool.  I had
heard the D3d  driver actually ran better, but at least in my case with
a big screen and a PIII 500, the Glide version(with 16 cars so far is
much smoother.  
  Keep checking, there are lots of niggling little things that can
scramble a vid card.

V3 3000 - no problem with SCGT

I had the same problem, but setting the desktop to 16 bit color cured that.
You can also play in D3D or download the latests drivers for V3 and the
patch 1.5.
