The best Nascar 2 version is stil the Rendition RRedline port. It's worth
buying a $40 V2200 card to see it in action. Much better visuals than the
3DFX beta patch. As for GPL, I was lucky enough to score an alpha cd at E3
in June. They've added a few tracks, improved the AI and put in music since
then. I can tell you it's by far the most realistic racer ever, and damn
tough to master. And while I know it's an unpopular opinion to express in
this forum, I prefer the brighter colors and sharper images of the Rendition
version. But the 3DFX version is very nice. The only complaint I have is
that you really have a hard time keeping these rockets on the road -- though
the***pit camera views when you somersault through the air are almost
worth crashing to see.
