MICROPROSE READ THIS! : My opinion on the delay of F1-GP2

Hi,

Firstly I'm a big F1 fan and was recommended the original F1-GP by
a friend. It was an old game with a massive following and I got it
cheap and absolutely loved it.

I'm also a big Sci-Fi fan, and was recommended the EliteII:Frontier
game by another friend. It was an old game with a massive following
and I got it cheap and absolutely loved it.

(Hmmm.... sounding familiar?)

And then I heard news of Frontier:First Encounters. It had been in
development for several years and had been hyped up considerably.

I waited patiently for it's release but when I got the game I was very
dissappointed. It was very buggey, had lost most of the fun of
its prequel, and didn't run as fast as it on my system. Later on
a bug-fixed version was released but by then I was completely put
off the game and had gone back to the original.

(Anyone see where I'm going here.....?)

And then I heard news of F1-GP2. It had been in development for
several years and had been hyped up considerably.

But here my [real life] parallel must end since F1-GP2 isn't
actually out yet.

Basically my point is *please* be patient and wait for F1-GP2 to
come out - I don't want it to be rushed just so it can come out
by X date - I DON'T want a repeat of my Frontier experiences.

IF ANYONE FROM MICROPROSE IS READING THIS PLEASE HEED MY ADVICE!!!!!
I SPEAK FROM EXPERIENCE.

   David.

Yeah I second that, Releasing F1GP2 with bugs will kill it before
it start's.  Then tha hassles of updates etc etc

I heard that the programmer (can't remember his name) made it so
wicked that normal PC's would not run it. So they are recoding some of it
to overcome the proble,  do you people what another NASCAR. Not bale to run
at full speed even on a 133 Pentium.
