Just read this at microprosed message board!

'Message from Spectrum Hohobyte-Microprose on March 25, 1996 12:27:56

GP2 is shipping by April 1st, 1996. European release date
is April 8th, the rest of the world will get it by April 15th

The simulation is as perfect as promised except for the weather
graphics which have been left out - they will be included
in an upgrade available by fall this year.

Regards,
Syd Enever
Spectrum Hohobyte-Microprose'

Hmmm, the shipping date makes me wonder...

I would have thought the post being from "Syd Enever" was a more
obvious giveaway. :-)

The post did raise one interesting question - if and when the
game is finally released, will the US get it first? GPM seemed
to be out in the States first, and GP2 might well be the same,
despite the fact that both games were developed here in the UK.
Very silly. (But here at GDC we do the same. :-)

Of course, by the time GP2 I'll probably have bought a PlayStation.
