Which EA F1 Should I Buy?

I don't own any of the EA F1 series. Is F1-2002 worth buying or should i
consider finding the cheaper F1-2001 because a) it is sufficiently similar
and b) I can mod it up?

PRice is the only reason to buy 2001.  Most if not all of the mods for
2001 are being planned for 2002.    OK so price AND the fact the mods are
available right now...If you can ONLY afford one...then go for 2002....The
JCTC mod is already working with it and ALMS and FIA GT will also make it to
2002.   LeMans prototypes is close to releasing the v.1.0 of the LeMans 2001
and then they will work on porting to 2002.

Forget F12001. It's not sufficiently similiar.

Of course if there aren't 1,000 people still playing it three years from
now, it means it wasn't as popular as GPL. :-o

Not a valid comparison really...
If there was a "GPL2" released a year after GPL1 would YOU still be racing
GPL1?

apples with apples please =)

:-) Well that's actually the point I was making. Just wanted to poke some
people in the ribs a little.
