EA F1? Why am I a troll?

I think it was this part...

As for those ***y nerds that turned the last thread into an epic about how
unrealistic EA sports games are and that the game is going to be an arcady
pice of crap, well I think your using the wrong joystic...
Stop playing with your***s idiots just because you can drive around the
ring in gpl doesn't mean you would have the balls, strength or ability to
get around it on a push bike.

You are inviting people to bash you. And you are bashing us for liking a sim
but come in here saying how great an arcade game is going to be.  Save it
for your arcade news groups.  And dont hate us cause were faster and more
skilled at racing, you may like driving an arcade game, we like sims so dont
critisize us for that.  Its like me going into your arcade newsgroup and
going, well Cart2000 is going to be a kick ass game and all you that like
arcades are dumb asses and should stop playing with your***s and drive a
real car.  Your calling us idots cause we are fast at a track.  Oh man,
thats real mature.  Well well well, your a dumb ass cause you had better sex
than i did.  Thats basically the same thing as your saying, calling someone
dumb cause they are better than you at something.

Cmon buddy, understand the word of troll before you come trying to use it
against us allong with threats cause we are skilled.

I never bashed anybody for liking a sim. I said myself I play gpl and every
papy sim under the sun, driving games are my favorite. Why the hell would I
bash myself. The people im bashing are the turds who think they can drill me
for liking a game that concerntrates on simulating the e***ment of racing
instead of the dynamics. You know as I do heaps in this news group take
their racing (gameing) way to seriously. No matter how complex or true to
life you just cannot replicate a real driving experience on a pc. So stop
kidding yourself mate, even if your the gpl star from hell its just a hand
eye co-ordination game, in a real racing car we would both shit our pants.
At least im not a fool enough to bag games cause they aren't hard enough
cause im sooo ***y good.

hahahah I dont know where your pulling this from. Maby read my post 10 times
and you might understand. Im good at gpl dont worry and I don't think I have
the skill to drive a f1 car around monaco in the rain. You on the other
hand.... well im not sure what your on about.

No your dumb because you cant read. Im calling you idiots because up in your
little mind somewhere at night you wrestle with you*** driving cars
against the big boys in F1. I dont care if your fast at a track,
congratulations im really impressed. Now go out in a 67 spec car and do it
for real (read go kill yourself*** weed). I wouldnt assume your better
than me at anything.

You are skilled. Is that what my post was about? My post was about you not
being able to appreaciate that every sim no matter how detailed is
compromised in some way to make it work on a computer. People like you seem
to think that the only thing that can be simulated is the car dynamics, well
im saying your wrong. A game can lighten up the dynamics and concerntrate on
the speed and fast reactions and e***ment of racing and still be a
simulation.

I still dont know what a troll is :) I never made any threats, least of all
because of your uncanny driving ability :)
hahah sorry I cant stop laughing I suppose your gonna go out for some
sponsorship and step straight into F1 because your so good at gpl.

Stop your ego trip buddy, its just a game. I suppose if you beat jackie
stuart in a game of gpl you would think youve got what it takes to really
race a car hahahahah

Hire a 70hp go kart and prove yourself wrong for all of our sakes please!!!

I guess that makes one of us that would shit in our pants, I for one race in
real life.  And I can see where you want to have all the excitment of a game
without having to have skill to drive it, well therefore that is consisdered
an arcade game.  Would you like to have pole position with cars that are
faster and more of them so you can have an exciting race, yet then call it a
sim?

heres a quote taken from you...

Stop playing with your***s idiots just because you can drive around the
ring in gpl...

This is what im saying about bashing all the people that like GPL and can
drive sims fast.  If you arent fast you dont have to take it out on the
people that enjoy the game.

The following is the history of the this newsgroup along with its
original charter (with my comments in '[]').  As you should see, this
explains the attitude of many who participate in this newsgroup.
However, in general, the participants in this forum have been very
tolerant of posts concerning "boderline" programs.  Yet, the ***,
will still draw the line somewhere and we wish to keep this forum
focused on 'realistic automotive simulators'.  I am neither defending
or condemming any one particular "stance" or "opinion".  I am simply
trying to "explain" why the attitude as per your request...

rec.autos.simulators is an unmoderated newsgroup which passed its vote for
creation by 170:22 as reported in news.announce.newgroups on 30 Nov 1993.

For your newsgroups file:
rec.autos.simulators    Discussion of automotive simulators.
                       [notice       ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^]

The charter, culled from the call for votes:

This newsgroup will be used for discussions of realistic computer
                                                [^^^^^^^^^]
simulations of automotive vehicles, irrespective of the platforms on
which said simulations are supported.  This will include simulations
which have a competitive component (racing simulations) and those
which do not.  Topics will include (but are not restricted to):

o     Global characteristics of particular simulations.

o     Platform-dependent characteristics of such simulations (as a
convention, it is suggested that such discussions list the
platforms in the subject header, e.g.,

          Subject: [ibm-pc,sun] Blog's Yugo simulator

o     Design and implementation issues of such simulations.

o     Issues of realism in automotive simulation.

o     General discussion of automobile simulations.

[Please, carefully read the following paragraph...]
Obviously, determining whether a particular simulator is "realistic"
requires a judgement call.  It is hoped that broad accord between
posters will enable the discernment of valid simulators (for
discussion in this group) from those which are devised for an
entertainment value without concern for realism.  Thus, discussion of
many of the arcade racing simulators, which provide an overview
perspective of the vehicle being simulated and which do not attempt to
provide realism of handling of the vehicle, would not be appropriate
in this newsgroup.  On the other hand, simulators such as Microprose's
Formula 1 Grand Prix would fall within the purview of this group as
attempts are made to capture realistic handling of the vehicle.

Well isnt your name van dame?
So your saying that we put you in a 67 spec f1 car around the ring, you do
it in 8 min and come back without your heart skipping a beat???

Well im impressed because I for one raced in real life too and the pre race
tension and e***ment was part of the fun. Guys knees where wobbeling as
they got in the kart but since your so ice cool you should be in F1 mate.
Youll probably get more wins that Prost if you never shit yourself racing.
And no racing sim has ever given me an adreanalin rush before, and my heart
has never gone faster because I was about to race in a sim before either.

So maby its because of your amazing composure that sim racing and real
racing are the same thing to you. Compareing what I expect EA to do with F1
after their superbike demo to pole position is just stupid.

Well take a look at Nascar revolution.  This might be the same engine
they use for the F1 game.  Even though you may only like driving open
wheel cars, there are many flaws in Nascar Revolution even as a simple
"arcade" game.
