Hi all,

Does anyone know in which file the sequences of the co-drivers speech
are in CMR? And if so, does anyone also know the file format? I'd like
to print out the instructions for a stage and do a multiplayer race with
a human co-driver.

Thanks for any info,
Johan.

Why not do it "properly" - drive the stage slowly with your co-driver
taking notes which the co-driver reads back during the race?

Well, I did think of that, but it would be a lot faster to write a
little program that does it for me. There's a hell of a lot turns in
that game!

Yeah, but only doing that will give you *your* own pacenotes, with your own
grading of every corner. Printing out the Nicky Grist text will only give
your companion something to read - the end result will be the same.
I queried Nicky about his notes last weekend and he commented that they are
*not* as he and Colin would note the road. In fact, they're the opposite (so
obviously Colin sees 1 as tight, 6 as flat) and they are only how the
programmers saw the road.
Shucks.

This surprises me, I'd have thought that it wouldn't be too much work
to have Nicky actually sit in, while someone "drove" the stage slowly
and make pace notes then read them back while driving.  Why didn't
Codemasters take this approach?  It would make it that little bit more
realistic.
