Supposedly, they're still working on it.
I've given up on checking the site/forum. I figure if something does come
up, I'll hear about it.

Hi Jan,
I can understand, when people threat legal action (for lack of updates!?!?)
and encourage other people to do the same, why they don't talk in the foums
anymore. I know the guys are still working *** RL I can't wait to see
some of the techniques Chris has been talking about!
All the best,
Ash

My approach to this is the same as Jan's. I don't hold my breath, and
if things arrive, we will know about it pretty instantly anyway.

Yep, sounds like the most sensible plan :)
I know from experience that this stuff isn't easy - my project is on a much
much smaller scale too. A hick-up or something you hadn't thought about
when designing can take weeks to fix. It's hard to quantify how long these
things take.

We see more activity with the free sims than we do from the Wests (we
get more feedback from Papyrus for christ's sake). We've seen
several sims released, and several updates to those sims in the time
we've all been waiting to see even a beta version of RL.
Threatening legal action is not only ludicrous, it's a meaningless
threat, and only makes those doing it look like a bunch of ***in'
retards.
If RL ever does see the retail light of day, fine. However, I
suspect we'll have something else that's even better by then, and RL
will start out as an also-ran without ever having been the pinnacle
of sim racing the Wests originally wanted it to be.
That sounds very promising!
Visiting the forum only makes one loose faith it the whole project. Working
hard instead of pleasing the forum community is a wise choice, but I think
they should have said that's their new policy. They have promised more
frequent updates and right now the excuse for no updates is that they are
(was) moving house.

LOL... I must have decided reading the forum was unproductive before that
happened.
I don't doubt it... One's really got to believe in what one is doing to keep
hosting a forum under such conditions.
I didn't mean to sound negative about the Wests and RL, it's just that the
site is infrequently updated and the forum is a truly depressing place.

Hi Jan,
Didn't come across as negative to me, I just wanted to offer possible
reasons why they weren't getting involved (I don't discuss these matters
with Chris as I'm sure they have enough on their plate) and to assure you
work was still continuing :)

Ash
