Just bought CPR racing and so far have ben disappointed. the frame rate
is horrible. I read something about a patch, does it relate to this?
Is there anyway to play it through dos as I only have a 133?
Thanks

Yes, the patch you heard about does relate to CPR. The patch improves the
framerate (how much varies from system to system). The patch also greatly
improves the AI and adds several other features to the game (gamma
correction, more realistic grip, etc...)
CART P.R. is a Win95 game, and there's no way to run it in DOS. Sorry.
:-(
There are links to the patch file at almost all of the CPR sites that I
am aware of. To download it from the Microsoft FTP site, you can go to the
CPR Playground at http://www.cprplayground.home.ml.org . Also, the Apex
http://cart.gamestats.com ) has a copy of the patch on its server, so if
for some reason the Microsoft site doesn't work, you can get it from the
Apex.
Hope this has helped!

For some reason, the link to my page that I gave you is not working at the
moment. Try this one instead.

Sorry for the inconvenience.
It helps the frame rate on my system PII-300 with 3dfx card by about 30%. On
a lesser system, it may help even more. The AI doesn't crash as much as it
used too, but it still is not competitive on oval tracks.
