In the qualifying of ICR, the computer opponents times are set as soon
as i start to qualify. In GP2 will the computers be qualifying at the
same times as you. This will give a feel of more realism. The reason for
this is because you might have pole and think that it is a good time
that won't be beaten and then Schumacher ***y well beats it and you
have to do another qualifying run. MUCH MORE COMPETITIVE. In ICR, once
that you have got pole, there is no way that you can lose it. It would
be cool if GP2 was like I said it should be.

After reading numerous posts about the T2 wheel and pedal combo I have
become interested in buying one.

Does anyone know where I can purchase a T2 from in Australia
(preferably in the Canberra area). Also how much does it retail for in
$AUS.

Thanks in advance
    Dino Miniutti.

Saw one in a shop in Adelaide for around $250.
Just the wheel and pedals, no software to go with it...
For that price, ya gotta be keen!!!
I think I'll stick with the keyboard and the joystick!!!

This may not help you much, but the only place I've seen them in Sydney
is at The Gamesmen (02-580-9888) for $299.95.

$250.00!!!!!!!!  Jeeeezzz.  If you are interested in one, you'd be better off
just contacting a mail order company here in the states.  Our MSRP on the
Formula T2 is only $179.95, and the dealer cost is much less.

I just checked with Flight Sim Central's WEB Page, and they sell it for
$124.95.  Even after shipping and customs, you'd save about $100.00.
If yer interested, you can reach FSC at:

This won't help you, but... here in NZ I paid NZ$300 for my T2, and
have seen them selling for $400. I also made a complaint at a shop
selling the T1 (!) for $500!! Thievin' bastards!!

This sounds good in theory, but in practice, works out almost the same
as buying in Australia.
(1) The exchange rate adds minimum 25% to the price
    (ie. $US100 = $Aus125).
(2) Shipping costs are unbelievably high. I contacted a US reseller via
the web who had the T2 for $US95 and they would only ship via
courier / air at a cost of over $US70 ($Aus90). So you are already
up for $Aus215 without considering customs duty.

The good news is that Australian customs can't be bothered chasing small
imports (ie. less than $Aus200) so you will almost certainly get away
with not paying any import duty.

So, if you are keen to save $30 or $40, and can find a US retailer you
know / trust and can be bothered with waiting for it to be shipped - go
for it.

This is probably due to the fact that at the super speedways
qualifying times are sent individually by cars.  Perhaps Payprus
thought the code was easier to write than performing realtime cars
setting times, so opted for all tracks to have the individual preset
timing.

On the road/street circuits in ICR2, the qualifying time of the AI cars
does change during the qualfying session.  However on ovals there is
only 1 car on the track at a time.  Do you really want to wait while 30
some cars go out and run around the track?
