Well, is this any good for someone who likes simulations? Or is it
jsut a hybrid arcade/sim?

This has gotten some play in our lounge lately. Personally, as a
single player game, I don't care for it much (it's not much of a
compelling sim IMO).

However, multiplayer split-screen is a blast, though the frame rate
for a four player game varies between low and abysmally low, it's
still a quite fun game (especially playing against a bunch of other
competitive folks...)

If you can regularly scare up multiple opponents with a competitive,
trash-talking streak, it's worth a look...

Can you elaborate on that?   I think its incredibly fun in one-player
mode.  The AI is actually very human-like in its ability***up.  I
loved flying around a curve and almost running over one of the AI cars
that was on its back wiggling pitifully.  I remember thinking, gee I
wonder what happened to HIM?!  Obviously one of the other AI cars took
'im out...too cool.
