If more games had physics like this thing I would be happy.

(The original; not rally cross 2, though it has a cheat to return the
settings to those of the original)

If you haven't played it, it's the pinnacle of 4-wheel suspension
grinding, fantasy track up-n-down, smash other cars off the track,
creaking, frame stress groaning, shock bobbing rally car driving.

There. I said it.

I thought that I was the only person on earth who recognised how great this
game was , especially for its time and given that it is on a mere 32MHZ
playstation. The feel of the game is still excellent, although they messed the
physics model up in the sequel, by trying to make it easier for the masses to
play. That's pretty typical, unfortunately, in the *** world, they keep
dumbing stuff down in order to broaden the appeal and sell more copies. Also,
unfortunately, the cheat in Rallycross 2 does not exactly return the physics
settings to those of the original. AWESOME game, I hope that there will be a
competent and demanding  version for the PS2.  None of the offroad games for
the PC or Dreamcast have equaled the original RALLYCROSS, although given
Ratbags excellent DTR, I am hoping that LEADFOOT racing will excede Rallycross.
Motocross Madness 1 and 2 are the only other  decent offroad games with jumps
and rough terrain, albeit they are motorcycle games.

Keep an eye on the news about 4 x 4 Evolution. Same developers (TRi) who
made MTM2, which is a fantastic off-road game.
