Aw, I only allowed myself one ICR track and had to go for Laguna Seca
(never even knew the track existed until I drove ICR1!) But Mid-Ohio
was a close second on my list.

Personally, I don't like it very much, because I'm not able to drive
the slow section the right way, and in GP2 it is quite difficult to
get the right braking point. It's always a nightmare, for me :-)

I have tried Revs on a C64 emulator, but can't get it to work.  What are
the keys?  I'd love to try it, just for the sake of nostalgia, but the car
just sits there...

I do like the circuit apart from one corner (the third from the end),
which prevented me to include it in my topten.

My fave sims are GPL and GP2 so my top ten list is obviously biased
towards circuits in these programs. I would have the following list:

1) Watkins Glen (GPL) My first GPL track and I *still* only make 1:06!!!

2) Spa (GPL) & (GP2) Beautiful track and......it has Eau Rouge!

3) Monza (GP2) The first track I learned on GP2, a classic.

4) Rouen (GPL) A great *racing* track IMHO.

5) Suzuka (GP2) A flowing circuit, get it right and it feels great.

6) Silverstone (GPL) My home track, a personal favourite.

7) Barcelona (F1RS) This was my favourite F1RS track.

8) Donington GP (TOCA2) A great track to race on "door to door".

9) Monaco (GPL) Here simply cos it looks absolutely fantastic.

10) Talladega (N2) I'm not a big oval fan, but its a fun track to drive.

8-)

It's interesting that several people mentioned he open-road NFS 1
tracks. I wonder if EA will ever get ithe point

Maybe by 2010 they will get the point.

I've told them the same thing via e-mail and their NFS Webpage fan surveys,
it just doesn't seem to sink in....

It's hard to understand how a company like EA can have everything
so right in NFS1 and then manage to***it up in every version since
is beyond me :-) maybe there is truth to that *** theory that
Car & Driver (or whichever magazine had itself mentioned in NFS1) actually
owned the rights to the code in NFS1 and took it with them when EA went
on to NFS2 forcing them to start over from scratch without the source
to NFS1 around to improve on... Well at least that's one possible
explanation their stupid moves in NFS2/NFS2SE/NFS3 etc.

Seeyas on the track.

It seems quite likely. Explains how they lost the brilliant 3d
car/accident physics of NFS 1. But obviously they could make new
open-road tracks if they were smart enough to do it.

I can't comment on the accuracy as I've never seen it anywhere before GPL,
it's just that I don't like the track.
 I don't even know why I don't like it, I can run 1:48's there on a good
day.
It just doesn't appeal to me I guess.

I didn't include any ovals in the list because I hate all of those, they
make me dizzy :)

I'm sorry, but I played it only on the old C64, and it was so many
years ago, that I can't remember the keys....
