*HELP* NASCAR Installation

I'm trying to understand why my friend is having trouble getting NASCAR
to run.  He gets the opening scene with Ned talking and gets the main
menu, but when he scrolls up and down the buttons only grey out and he
cannot get to any of the next screens.

Any Idea?

Sure,
        I had the same problem with my computer at my office.
It turned out to be the memory manager, ie. emm386, etc...
Try doing a clean boot ala F5 with dos 6.0 and higher, or make
a boot disk. This should clear up your problems.
