Actually, SoS is one of those titles that DEMANDS love -- I have a
love for the old Deusenbergs and Millers of that era, so I am MUCH
more willing than most to suspend my disbelief enough to make SoS work
for me. If you have no interest in the era, and if you didn't
DESPERATELY want to like the SoS demo even after you tried it a few
times, then it will probably never hold any appeal for you. <G>
As for Ford Racing, I really liked the graphics (nicely-done and very
realistic-looking overall), and I KNOW I can detect a
nicely-functional physics engine at work there, but the sounds do not
match up with the actions of the physics engine, which creates a MAJOR
disconnect there. Add in bad control authority and the resultant
end-product is a poor game that looks like it could have been a good
little sim.
