you need to have Internet Explorer 3.0 w/X active
and then just goto yahoo and type in Monster Truck Madness then follow
the instrutions. Its easy and well worth it. I've been racin' Nascar and
ICR1 and 2 for 2 years now and MTM has taken over all my attention!
Its that cool. Its like Nascar or ICR2 (SVGA graphics)and the truck
model is excellent, graphics are stunning and the competition is killer!
you can download the demo of MTM at most of the *** sites. Search
for it at the *** yellowpages. ITs well worth the hunt!
good luck!

I haven't seen the game but maybe it's not written by Microsoft.
I have Close Combat which is released by Microsoft but written by
Atomic. A pretty good game too :)

It's a fun game to a point. I was racing over the Internet against a
friend,,,and well, at times we were playing two seperate games. When the
latecy gets too high, MTM makes up what each player sees until it can get
the two linked again.
We were playing the game and talking on other lines and he would say
"BAM, I just hit you" and it was not what I was seeing. On my screen he
would be infront of me pulling ahead. The he would vanish and end up way
behind me. Fun game, but not very good over the internet...

It's incredible how people would say anything to justify the money
they spent on any crapware...  I've tried it and it's so slow I can't
see what's the point...

> yeah Mike your right to an extent, theres are a lot of blinking on and off of the other trucks, but 1, its free!, cant beat that, 2nd you will get better ping times

in the future with patches microsoft autmatically makes you load before
entering
MTM. If you race against a friend, go direct modem, youll see a big
difference.
My modem buddy and i have 2 lines too, Man isnt that halarious?! We have
alot of fun
being able to race and talk together, especially in ICR2 and Nascar!! -

You must have been doing something wrong it screams on my computer with
everything on in hi res.  I think it is a good game, no need to justify.
Did you turn your graphics down to 256 colors?

1ST POINT, I didnt spend a dime on the shareware.
2ND POINT, Crapware is your opinion, and as far as I've heard from
everybody, yours only. That statement shows your level of maturity with
different types of racing
simulation software. Evidently you haven't been in the racing sim
community long, What
a couple of hours I guess.
3RD POINT, I forgot to add in my previous post that you have to have a
desent machine
to get a good framerate - thats frame-rate. A 486 wont run it very well,
but then
again , I dont think a 486 will run anything these days!!   -  David

The problem with internet play is latency and people with different ISP's
turn off all sound and set graphics to auto and no lock ups should occur.

Anyway the game does kick but, to bad you can't Drag in Multi player
though!
