Rendition version of F1GP2 ??

by John Alexi » Tue, 01 Apr 1997 04:00:00

I have a sierra scream'n 3D car with the Rendition chip, but
I don't know if it is possible to get F1GP2 to support it.
ICR2, and MTM are fine. I wish NFS2 will support it too.

any help?

No, F1GP2 will not support it. MicroProse has turned their backs on all
the people who bought the game and has said they are not going to update
or fix the game. They are going to let it die...like their company,,,

John,

It depends what you mean by support. It will run with the performance of
your average 2D card except that you have to manually configure frame
rates (software thinks it's a lousy card)and you will find similar
performance to a plain vanilla card (at least that's what I found
compared to my old Trio64V card)

I'm sure we'd all like to see a Rendition ready version of monaco,
30fps, in all its splendour. The closest we're likely to get in the
short-term would be Psygnosis F1 and maybe Visiware's Starting Grid (is
that dead ir are they trying to do a Microprose-style release? )
