My outlaps usually lasts about 2 minuts... by changing the location of the
pitstalls to just before th 2nd Karusell I save loads and loads of time.
Just a tip.

Shame, Asgeir! Shame!! :-)

Fangio drove his greatest race at the N-ring in '57 when he caught up with
and passed the two Ferraris of Hawthorn and Collins to take the lead and go
on to win.

Yes....if rain was properly represented in GPL the N-ring would be the stuff
of nightmares!

This "mod" is actually just a few simple tweaks of the track.ini file of
the Nurburgring. And, as the track.ini files are copied/used from the host
upon connecting, only if the host uses these settings, you can shorten your
out-laps.

It's just like the srtartgrid, the settings on the host determines the
layout of the grid. And the position of the stalls.

says...

What I never understood about JS was that when he had his famous
Nurburgring win in the Matra, he won the race by *miles*, some minutes
ahead of the opposition, in terrible conditions of mist, rain and fog.

If he hated the ring and was so safety concious, he never needed to take
the risks that he did and lap so fast as to humiliate the opposition, he
could have gone much slower and still won the race.

!! I wish I'd known that a few months ago! Can you post the relevant bit
of the track.ini file as I'm not sure how to work out the co-ordinates.

Cheers,

One thing I have learned from GPL is that once I have established a
rhythm, if I try to slow down and conserve I will invariably loose it.

If MIchael's car didn't fail in 98 at Suzuka, that could have been one of
the greatest come back in modern F1 history

Rain at Mosport and Monaco could be worse. Imagine WOT going through the

Reminds me of the time one rainy night when I was pulled over for speeding
on the motorway. . .

"honest Mr. Officer Sir, the less time I spend on the road tonight, the
better!"

Imagine a deep puddle in the dip at mosport before that double righthand
hairpin... Get a bucket in the***pit to prevent it of changing in a
bathtub.

Or water streaming over the lowest point of raidillon at spa... I garantee
aquaplaning straight ahead into the guardrail.
