I think that my Diamond 770 (non Ultra) does just fine in GPL, with
the OpenGL patch. I used to use GPL on a P200 with a Voodoo1 so
anything was an improvement. I run at 1024*768, detail just to the
right of center, no arms, only cars in mirrors, all track side, maybe
no people? can't remember, no crowds, some other options turned off,
mirror refresh set to the default setting for the OPenGL patch. At
Monza I get 27-36fps. Not as stellar as it could be, but not horrible
either. I have very few problems with video lockups and such. I
installed the detonator drivers and hated the mirrors so I went back
to the drivers that came with my Dell.
I can't lie, I have been keeping an eye out for a Quantum 3D X24 for
cheap, but they just don't exist right now. (when I say cheap I mean
cheap!)
