If Sierra is refusing to give you  the tracking number then maybe you
should consider putting a stop on your check.  If they cash the check it
will be a while before you see a refund.  I sent mine back which they
recieved on the 10th of Dec. and still no credit to my charge card.

In early December I sent in the special offer card for NASCAR 2 and a
check for $34.95 to Sierra Direct.  Today, 13 days later, I called
Sierra to determine the status of my order.  The guy told me it was
shipped December 17th and should arrive any day now.  I promptly
called my bank, and they told me the funds had not been taken out of
my account yet.  Another call to Sierra confirmed the fact that they
do not ship orders until they get the money, but the computer still
showed my order had been shipped the 17th.  This second rep had to
talk to his supervisor, who of course was as puzzled as I was.

Here's my dilemma.  UPS Ground is supposed to take 5-10 days; it's
been 13 days since it's been shipped, according to Sierra.  No matter,
since the check hasn't been paid yet, I highly doubt NASCAR 2 is on
it's way anyway.  However the Sierra rep said I could not cancel the
order, and that I would have to wait for N2 to arrive and send it back
if I didn't want it.  If it truly is on its way, I can be patient, but
I can't think of a way by which it could be sent to me before they get
the fundage.  Any suggestions?

BTW, both guys told me to call back at the end of the week if I hadn't
received it by then, but if it's been shipped 13 days ago, they could
at least call UPS, if nothing else.  And despite the fact that a
number of people have mentioned getting a UPS tracking number from
Sierra, these guys told me they couldn't give me that.  Go figure.

Go up to your favorite software store and just buy a copy.  When your
direct order finally arrives from Sierra, take it and the receipt from
your store bought copy and get a refund.  It's still an unopened copy,
and the store will never know the difference.  Perhaps it's not the
most honest way, but at least you'll get a copy now for the $34.95
price.

No horror stories here!  My mother ordered Nascar2 from Sierra Direct
via phone in early Dec. (2,3,4?).  They said it might not make it before
Christmas.  But she got it in less than a week.  I was concerned by all
the horror stories, but we had no problems.

Now I just need some more memory so I can run the stupid thing!!

Yup, I got my T2\N2 combo pak from Sierra on the day before Xmas.  One
word of warning tho...Since Xmas the weather in the Pacific NW has been
abominable.  The Post office is delaying parcels from the West side of the
Cascades and the Airlines schedules are disrupted,  This may cause delays
in shipping orders made AFTER Xmas.
