Finally i did a 1.29.92 at Monza just today, i
have been trying for about 2 months now.
I was almost going to give up on the Eagle
but what a feeling even my wife asked me why
are you so happy and i told her and she said not
that game again, don't you have anything better
to do with your spare time. Anyways i wanted to
tell somebody who's interested and i'm sure most
of you know the feeling from reading the posts on
this NG. Merry Chirstmas everyone and if by chance
you happen to see an Eagle in your rearview mirrors
at Monza waving at everyone thats me. Now if i could
just get in the 1.28's i could give those Lotus's and
Ferrari's a run for thier money.

Congrats!  I remember the first time I broke 1:30.  Still have yet to
see anything below 1:29, but I think I can do it.  I'm in the Eagle too
:p

I have been trying for months to break into the 1:29's with the honda.  Last
week I gave all the other cars another try at monza for 15 laps, and when I
got to the eagle, I drove a 1:29:95 on lap 8.  Giving me a total of probably
25 laps combining all tracks in the eagle.  Go figure.

Congrats Steve. I know the feeling well. I thought that it was just about
impossible to turn a 1:29 lap at Monza in a Brabham. But I did it once !!

Congratulations, but why does everybody love Monza so much, I find it a
bit boring compared to Zandvoort, Mosport, Rouen, Spa and the Ring.

There always seems to be a full grid for Monza on VROC though. Perhaps
it's because it was in the demo.

Maybe because it is the easiest track to go "fairly" fast on? And because of
the few turns and long straights it is great for competetive racing.

Also, everybody who play GPL konw monza track lap times , so it' s a track
standard :o)
Everybody konw that +1'30 = newby , 1'29-1'30 = aprentice, 1'28-1'29 = driver ,
1'27-1'28 = pro
, sub 1'27 = ace. :o)

i hope to be soon a pro :o) cause for now i'm a driver :o)

Monza seems easy, but when you drive for the 1:27, it suddenly becomes
a very challenging track. Taking Curve Grande as fast as possible,
exiting the 2nd lesmo and trailbraking into Parabolica as much as
possible is very challenging.
In training mode the long straights between start/curve grande and the
2nd lesmo/parabolica are sometimes boring, but for online racing I
find Monza one of the best tracks. Lots of possibilities to overtake.

These times are for the Lotus and Eagle. If you can do a sub 1'27 in a
Cooper, you're not an ace, you're lying :)
