Hi all,

I am looking at getting rid of my thrustmaster Grandprix 1 Wheel in favour
of a better one with force feedback. What hardware do you recommend?

Thanx

ACT LABS FORCE RS, with our without shifter as it doesn't really play a big
role in GPL, but if you have RC2K, then you HAVE to get the shifter.

Well, I'll throw in my vote for the Logitech Wingman Formula Force (LWFF). I
tried the Act Labs Force RS and the Microsoft FF wheel before buying the
LWFF. I wasn't all that interested in a shifter and the wheel and shifter
paddles of the Logitech fit my hand perfectly. Some have complained about
the pedals, but the latest production models have shipped with stiffer
springs. I've swapped my pedals for the CH pedals I used to use with my TM
GP1.

You might want to check out the Force One site, they have reviews of all the
popular FF wheels: http://www.force-1.com/

I just gave my old GP1 to my nephew, this year racing games, next year
Karts!

Microsoft, definitely. How MS do such great h/w and such hopeless s/w I
do not know. The MSFF wheel is expensive (over UKP100 here), but it's
got a very nice feel indeed. It's paddle shift only, though - no stick.
