I have tried the 1970 carset, and while it is quite good, the 3do editing
needs to get better yet,the wings just don't look good (thet don't even
fastern to the car at the back)and they are all white.
I don't know about a 1999 carset,but because the 3do editor is not perfect
yet I can not see this carset being any good at all(although I am a bit of a
perfectionist,so you may think different).
The main thing that is so good about gpl season is that you can save your
own changes, for example I have all new track textures, all new car
textures, new drivers photo's,and new sounds  which can all be saved in one
carset file, which makes re installation of them very easy (if you have to re
install the game as I did).
The 1968 carset is quit good also, and you can change from carset to carset
very easily with gpl seasons.
So gpl seasons is worth the download, although which carset you use is down
to your own personel preference.
