Question about sound in SCGT

by captri.. » Tue, 06 Feb 2001 14:11:33

Is it me or is the sound in SCGT just wimpy?  I downloaded the sound
patch, and the engine sounds are still both muffled and very weak. In
fact, I couldnt tell much difference.  What I mean is that it sounds
nothing like the throaty roar that I am used to hearing in the other
sims I play regular, which are GPL, N3 and F1CS2K.  I have a
soundblaster Live Xtreme card and a fast processor.  Any ideas?  Is it
something I/we just gotta live with or have I set something up wrong?
I have even tried turning down the other sounds and music while leaving
engine sounds at 100%.   Thankz

Download SRU1, the Sound Realism Update for Sportscar GT, and see if that
helps.

Rrevved did some sound updates that are pretty good. Any SCGT site
should have them.
