I still have a problem with my control set up. I cant get it to
calibrate! This is what it looks like.

Set Controls

  Steering                         mouseX<>
 Acceleration                    mouseX<
  Braking                          mouseX<
  Shift Up                          mouseX<
 Shift Down                      mouseX<
 Reverse                          mouseX<

I Installed in DOS.I choose Steering ,enter and saw the turn left then right
for split sec. Then the right side went to mouse when I hit enter to move to
next one. I cant figure how to change the mouse X!!! Thanks for any Help!!!

I had that same problem, but I don't know what caused it.

The solution I came up with was to unplug the mouse, set
the controls, then plug the mouse back in. It worked so well
that I almost forgot that I had that problem! :-)

(Uh, as a precaution, you should probably turn off your
computer whenever you connect/disconnect anything...)

I only run CART(ICR2) after re-starting in DOS mode and
I would suggest you do the same. (well, actually I have a
multi-config setup where I get a menu on boot up to run
CART or go into Win95...). As far as I no, there is no need
to load any mouse drivers for CART...

Good luck! If you have any more questions, drop me a
note... (drop the "x" in xRaceTrak if you would, please...)

If you're talking Sierra Cart...(which I think you are, but never know with
the CPR out)
Looks like it by your controls.......I can't get mine to calibrate either
BUT......If you have N1 or N2 also....just take your "controls.cfg" from
one of those and put it in your Cart folder. When you start the game....you
may have to calibrate..but just do that CALIBRATE ONLY and not try to set
the controls. Works like a charm....I have to do it all the time after
changing to to Rendition version....why?  I don't know but that's the way
it is!  :)  If you don't have either of the Nascar versions.....email me
and I'll send you my control config. (note: I don't use the adapter on my
T2 so if you do....my config won't work for you....) Someone correct me if
I'm wrong on that one.

Rich

Hi I dont know if this will help as I have a GP1 wheel but I used to get J
stick instead of mouse in all the set up boxes. What fixed it for me was to
hit the J key before I hit each control option. Try it you never know might
work for you too. Aloha, Mike

A friend had the same problem, he contacted Sierra and found the solution.
At the DOS prompt type "mouse off" then >enter before starting the sim.  It
worked every time for him.

Assuming Papyrus ICR2/Cart racing
The problem is the 'sim' seeing your mouse driver. I thought the latest
patch took care of the problem so maybe you don't have the latest
version?
Anyway, boot to DOS without your mouse driver loading. One way to do
this is to use a boot disk or another is to press the F8 at boot up. Run
the game as normal and set up your controls. It shouldn't see the mouse
at this point.

I have a bit more detailed answer at my web site
http://www.kiva.net/~akh/simshop in my Simshop FAQ

Good luck
