Smooth steering patch for NFS2SE

Smooth steering patch for NFS2SE

I can't believe what I've gone through to do this, but I've finally made a
patch for NFS2SE that lets you adjust the controller deadzone to 0 to give a
linear steering response. EA had hardcoded it to 20%.  Jeez.

If you use a wheel or analog joystick, you'll want this patch.   It turns
NFS2SE into a decent driving game.

It should be appearing on http://www.racesimcentral.net/ in the next little while.

Chris,

Thanks for making that patch and letting us know about it!  I just
downloaded it, and will give it a shot as soon as I'm done NG surfing.

Thanks!

Chris,

I did download and use your program.  WOW!! NFS2 SE is MUCH better!  Thanks
a bunch!  My dead zone is perfect (for me) at a setting of 1 with a T-2.

Thanks,

Dloaded it today ..really does help the control... set new personal
lap records on the first three courses.

Thanks for the efforts.

Rich

PS... The next time you are digging around in the code how about
eliminating the need for the CD to be inserted.

Does a patch such as this exist for NSF-SE?  Does it even have the samer
problem.  It sure feels like it does, and id love to have a patch for
it.  Thanks.
