Anyone out there drive GPL with keyboard only?  If so, what kind of times are
considered good?  I can't keep up with the top half of the field on any of the
circuits, but I haven't played with setups much because of limited free time.

The only lap time of mine I can remember offhand is 1m29s at Kyalami

before buying my wheel my best Watkins time was 1.08 (in the demo)

but usually i was doing 1.10s  ... buy a wheel ... :)

You really should get yourself a steering wheel with pedals, or at least a
joystick. GPL is NOT a game you want to play with the keyboard. It wasn't
designed for keyboard use either.
