How dare you? That really hurts! Can you seriously say that ICR2 is a pathetic
sim, JUST because it doesn't handle like a Grand Prix car from the 1960's? It
doesn't make sense in the way that you make an extremely logical statement :)
Think about what you've said. Then apologise to the great ppl over at SCW,
SimRacing.com et al who are still working on this very fine, and what still
remains the premier, CART racing sim!!
<fume!!>

now, seriously - have you raced with INDYCAR II recently (after running laps in
GPL)? don't get me wrong, but - WHEW! the difference between the two is completely
magnified when you go back and forth between them. heck, i'm a NASCAR geek. i
can't wait for the new program this next year. NASCAR 2 seems real silly, too.
F1RS is still good to play frisbee with and use for target practice. ouch.

Hilarious!

ouch.
ICR2 still kicks ass. I know what you guys are talking about as far as
the driving model goes, it is a weird feeling to switch back and
forth. But I went and checked out some of my old favorite Indycar
tracks.... and man, what fun.
The Rendition version is still amazingly well done graphics wise, and
there's not a bit of frame slowdown. Using the GTP patch makes it (at
least cosmetically) like a new game. I remember racing with the 1970's
carset at Indy, how cool is that? ...and the new modern body type at
the Sim Project..
I'm putting in a lot of seat time in GPL, just like most of you, but
don't delete ICR2 just yet, it's still got a lot to offer. (to a lot
of you this game is an old friend..)

Not to mention, you don't have to buy a whole new system to run it :o)
