GP3: Oversteer setup and drifting

Hi,

Turned off steering help and the "reduce steering lock with speed"
thingy yesterday, and the 'feel' was much much better than before.

I was having lots of fun driving in Hungaroring with oversteer (areo)
setup, the car actually drifted sideways when accelerating out of those
constant radius corners, then the back starts to come out, and I had to
fight with the steering wheel ... One thing I found is that I can
usually 'save' the car before it enters a canned spin ...

But are the spins really canned? I have two observations:
- I can't do donuts like in F1-2K
- but I can stop the car from turning 180 degrees by apply full brakes
in the middle of a spin ...

So I am not really sure what's happening there ...

Anyway, the more I play with GP3, the more I like it ...

Have fun,

MING

No .. the spins are not canned.  They are only canned for ppl who can't
catch them.  Too much GPL I think  :-)))

I can spin forever on a small piece of concrete, always with full
throttle...

This canned spin thing is nonsense pure and simple.  Boneheads on this
group chirp up with "canned" meaning "I lost the back-end again"

: But are the spins really canned? I have two observations:

I can - you just need to find a big enough bit of track.

: - but I can stop the car from turning 180 degrees by apply full brakes
: in the middle of a spin ...

  Sure - I can get spins of pretty much any angle I choose. 90 - 180 -
270 - 360 or spin forever.
