Hi!
You have to edit the car's body by yourself. Follow these steps:
1. D/l a utility called "WinMip". It can be found in the files-section
at The Apex. Install it.
2. If you don't have yet - purchase or d/l a good graphics program like
Paintshop Pro and install it.
3. With the Pack/Unpack-Utility, that is included in WinMip, unpack the
*.dat-file located in the folder of the car of your choice (e.g. you
want your name on the lotus, head for the file "lotus.dat" in the folder
"..\gpl\cars\cars67\lotus\"). You will get a lot of "*.mip"-files and
some others.
4. Look for the file "lot4.mip" (for above example, the lotus) and use
WinMip to convert it into a "*.bmp"-file (during offline-play, your
carnumber is always the 4, therefore you have to edit the "*4.mip"-file
of your car).
5. You can now edit this "*.bmp"-file with your graphics program.
6. After editing, use WinMip to reconvert the "*.bmp"-file to a
"*.mip"-file.
7. You don't have to pack the new "*.mip"-file into the "*.dat"-file of
the car - simply put it into the car's folder. GPL will automatically
use it.
8. Load GPL and get on the track. Drive a few laps an enjoy the replay!
Hope, my english wasn't that bad and I could help you. If you need
further help or have problems: Mail me.
Happy editing!
Bye!
