hey dave,
F1RC doesn't need a patch :)
*ducks*
Seriously though, I'm happy that N4 gets better and better. Hell, I
might even install it & play it :)
I kinda bought it thinking that there will probably be a converter to
give me more tracks for GPL. Not that I like Ovals that much, mind
you :)
Regards all,

I was defending F12001 more than slaming Papy and N4. I felt it unfair to
say that Papy "won the patch race" when the game was just released. The
thing that pisses me off is that games need patches at all for stuff that
should be correct in the begining. And we all know Papy is the king of that.
The problem with f12001 and the Nvidia 21.8x drivers is not a big deal to me
because the game went gold before the drivers were released. This is IMO the
only reason software should ever have a patch. Any and all racing sims
should be able to simulate a yellow flag right out of the box, and not need
many patches to get it some what sorta working. Or how about the start of
the race when cars go flying thru the infield, or slowing you car down for a
set period of time because you touched the wall as a fix for wall riding
instead of just having a correct damage model, or................... well
I'm sure you can see why I was far from impressed with Papy's first couple
of attempts.
