Yup, that exact setup. Most recent drivers. Works fine.

  Because the V5 drivers have features that werent' available on the V3
driver set
like the Level of Detail slider, which is a V5 item, but one that I have
heard works
even with V3's.  And because 3dfx, unlike other companies I won't mention,
could write compatible drivers for it's different products.

Ther reason I ask is that I use a V32000, w/ the latest V32000 drivers.

I use the V3 1.04 drivers. Anything more recent gives me a light stutter in the
GPL environment (trees, buildings). Not dramatic, but a bit annoying.

BTW: I had a similar stutter in MGPRS2 with the newer drivers
