That fits in pretty much with my experience of the game so far.  It
definitely improves over time.  All the people who say it's too easy should
try turning off *all* the driving aids and getting a steering wheel.  It's a
genuinely fun game and the racing is pretty intense.  It's no GPL for sure,
but who's got time for two GPL's in their lives?

I have to say that gameplay wise I have little complaints. My only problem
at the moment is the bizzaire gfx. Am I the only one who finds it odd that
the armco barriers are all beautifully anti-aliased, yet the tyre barriers
AND the wheels/tyres of the cars aren't AA'd at all?
I find this so odd that I really do thing this is a beta. Afterall, why only
make have of the gfx stunning, and leave the rest unfinished.

Oh, and I'm also pissed off about the Voodoo3 probs I'm having with GP3, but
thats a technical issue, not a gameplay one.

All in all it's gonna be a grower.

N3 with AA on only affects part of the gfx in game...

I think R4 means bilinear filtering not anti-aliasing.  Easy mistake to make
though, they are very similar things, particularly texture anti-aliasing (n3
has edge anti-aliasing).  Yep, the trees, crowds and the tyre barriers, as
well as your wheels and shadow don't have filtering on them, and it doesn't
help the grahpics at all.
The really strange thing though, is that GC has done this through choice.
He obviously feel the grahpics are better like this.  I think it would have
been wiser for him to let the player decide whether these things were
filtered or not.
