Can u play a network game over modem connection, I am running win98 and feel
i should be able to do this via dial up networking, if anyone has any info
on how to do this.

I want to be able to play games against my friend who isnt on the Net, but
we both get free local calls so we would like the ability to play Internet
or Network games over the phone, line.

Im sure this must be possible, is there any software available that allows u
to do it ?

please help

I don't know of any game supporting multiplay, that doesn't
also support modem-modem.  Should be built-in already.

You must have missed an obscure little game called Quake 2.  :->

Recent versions of Windows include a dial-up server.  Set it up
on your machine, and have your friend dial in.  Web search for
"dial-up server" for more info.

Never heard of it; should I have?  <G>

Actually it's the PLUS Pack that has the Dial-up server; it's
not inherent in Win95. I understand it IS a part of Win98, tho.
