Endless CTD at the start line so i cant comment.

Whichever settings i use and i think i have them all covered now...it still
CTD's just as it reaches the start line screen.

Any ideas?

Works fine for me, nice graphics and runs very smooth on my system.

But, the 'physics' are the normal codemasters pivot from the centre type and
it doesn't really work with a wheel, although there is a decent wheel setup
with adjustable deadzone and range but the 'physics' just aren't conducive
to a wheel imo.

And btw when are driving game developers going to realise that these cameras
that swing round when you turn ruin the driving feel? I quite like using the
'arcade view' in games like this but those swinging cameras just make it so
hard to get a feel for what the car is doing.

I can't compare it to the console versions because I haven't played them but
it seems like a nice enough game, but not in any way a sim, I doubt I'll be
buying the full version.

A few things on the demo:

Runs nicely.  Can't get split axis to work.  Force feedback is nearly
nonexistent.  Steering seems very loose, though I haven't fiddled with the
settings' adjustments.

Feels like the XBox version.  Rally Trophy 2 sounds like it would be the
better bet.  :)

I'd try it too, but all the downloading places (that dont require me to fill
out a survey and register and all that trash) are down or something..

Do we get a console menu too like in Toca?

I really loved that...NOT.
