The are no best settings. It is mostly a matter of personal preferences.
Initially, I liked my forces strong. I would initially like to have my wheel
following the differences in banking without any input from myself. And I
also tried to get the ff tell me immediately when the grip at the front
wheels were reduced. These kind of settings were fun (high damping and
torque), but wasn't very smart when doing full GPs.
After starting doing full GPs, I chose the following settings (using my late
MSFF (RIP)):
force_feedback_damping = 3.000000
force_feedback_latency = 0.025000
max_steering_torque = 125.000000
Those setting will give rather weak forces, but aren't too exhausting.
Besides, those settings will make correcting a slide rather easy. You will
not have to fight your wheel too much.
