GPL and advice from my wife ;-)

After trying to illustrate the pain that is improving one's times with GPL,
wifey has given me some INVALUABLE advice!!!

I was telling her how hard I was finding it to manage a sub 9 at the Ring,
and that the WR was a 7:45, expressing awe at being able to concentrate that
hard for that long.

However, I hadn't realised how easy it is to better such a time.  According
to my wife, all I should have to do is "practice the track solidly for a
'couple of weeks'" and I'll be there.  Bless!

If only life was that simple! :-(

Actually my wife was quite good at GPL the first time she played it. She
drove very neatly, not extremely fast, but really well. While I was driving
too fast and crashing all over the place :^) It was quite cool.

I'm not married, but I'd think that laughing at your wife's inability would NOT
be a good move...<g>
