Okay, so I wasn't up against the best (fastest lap was a 1:29.43 at Monza),
and there was some serious carnage at the start which no doubt aided me with
my from-15th position, but hey, I did it!
I've had one 2nd and alot of 4ths before, but wow, to see people saying
"congrats" to me makes me feel all warm inside!
Sorry to go on, but the wife doesn't understand. ;-)
Now, what would be the saddest thing for me to do with the 'spinning'
newspaper .jpg I've saved??!!
Congrats! I kept my first newspaper victory shot as my desktop pic for some
time. And I don't think that's sad at all. :-)
Your post reminded me of my first online win. I knew I had a screenshot
somewhere so I dug it out. I was quite surprised at the other drivers that I
had triumphed over in that race, such as the likes of Lake, Mansell,
Axelrad, Otis and Eymann :-) From memory Wolfi was leading but disconnected
early in the race.
After a little more thought about the race, I am pretty sure it was the
very first World Series pre-season test race, This may have been the very
first organised online GPL race ever and I won it hehehehehe :-)
