I doubt that anyone out here cares, but I just turned my first sub-1:30 lap at
Monza on GPL, a 1:29.83 in the Lotus with a downloaded setup.  There's still a
lot in the car cause I messed up a lot in Parabolica that lap, slid the car a
lot and lost speed on the exit

Where did you find the setup? Looking for any help I can get. The only car I
seem to be able to drive worth a damn is the Ferarri. Have only run a best
of 1:32:3 at Monza. (Please don't laugh at me)

I think we all care.  I remember the first time I turned a 1:29 in a
brabham.  I had just been able to turn 1:30.2's and .1s, and one .0 but no
29's.  I finally did it and at the same time shattered it with a 1:29.4.  It
is a great feeling isn't it?  Just accomplishing that little milestone.  I
have been taking a break from GPL.  I lost my interest when my computer
broke down for a few months.  I am sure that eventually I will be back in
it.  Right now it is off to play some Rainbow6 though.  Best game out there.

Cool! I just updated to a Celeron 333. Solid framerate almost 36fps
at all times! Have to learn to drive all over again.

For setups for the Lotus, get Alison's Coventry setups and rename them..
and they work quite well with the Lotus!

Good on you Dan! I drive the Eagle and I remember when I first broke the
1.30 barrier and how happy I was with myself.Just keep practicing mate and
you'll be in the 1.28s before you know it.
Sid.

Well i care cause youre better than me :)  My best at Monza is a 1:30.93 in
Eagle.  I just flat out cant drive cause the car handles beautifully.

The ovals i seem to have a knack for though.  Recently turned a 30.11 at Loudon
in Eagle.

I have gotten my setups from a variety of sources.  I got most of my setups
from Eagle Woman's GPL site (http://www.nh.ultranet.com/~alison/gpl/) and  from
the hot laps  page on gpl.gamesmania.com.  I believe the setup I used was from
the hotlaps page.

And the "best of the best" also compete in NTT Europe. And based on your
registration for Friday night's race, we were expecting you to be part of
the mix in Kyalami. But, shame, shame, Tadej was a no-show!

Come show us your stuff in Monaco. We look forward to it!
