GPL: redo-ing my gplrank times(progress report)

I'm about 2/3rds of the way into rebuilding my GPLrank times.
A new system and format of my hard drive caused me to start fresh.
Most of my times...set last fall and winter were done with ABS
brakes due to my LWFF brake pedals harshness.  Something
about the newest drivers needed for fast cpu's or something
due to my system upgrade, moderated the brake pedal slightly.
I'm no longer either going full speed or skidding toward the
armco...while I am certainly not going to give  even the moderate
of ST Eldred's deciples any cause to return to protect their rankings...
I am improving WITHOUT ABS about 1 to 2 seconds a track..
Rouen and the Ring saw huge improvements...And just today at
Spa I took my Ferrari time and squeezed past the best Lotus time
I had ever posted...progressssssss sssssllllooooowwww but steady.
By the weekend I may be able to upload a fresh set of times and
pass that Finn who is 10 or so seconds ahead of me...
Imagine...me ahead of a Finn...will that mean he gets deported?

F3 at the ring is quite challenging.  Only a select few drivers have
broken 10:00 (or 9:00 in F2 for that matter).  Join us!

rms, if you start spending as much time improving your other times as much
as you have your Ring time, you should be in -10 territory in no time!

p.s. Hey, update your Handicap History please - I'd like to see your graph!

Whoah!  Didn't know about handicap history (haven't been to GPLRank for a
few months), what a cool feature.  Mine looks like the steep side of Everest
:)  That big drop at the end was courtesy of switching pedals (from LWFF to
MSPRW) and lots of good advice from Malcolm Edeson and a few other people.

Well you can rest easy...I have 3 tracks where I have not improved, but
the
rest I did...a net gain of 14 seconds or so....Say adios to the Finn but you
Steve are
still well and truly ahead of me...
Of course I do have to complain...most of the GPL regulars took my return
to the track
in stride...even Surtees left me alone..but EECKS(Icks) and Pedro Rodriquez
seemed
to be personally out to get me...twice at Mosport Icks ran me off the back
straight..
Pedro would cruise around until I caught him at several venues and then play
road block for the rest of the session.  I had a really really good lap
going at Kyalami that Icks ruined
at the last turn...  But at Mexico he was too late....I set my fast
lap(pastya there STeve)
and then caught up to him on the straight...however the draft didn't really
kick in until I was right up on him  and I got pulled into his wheels...I
have a nice tga of him shaking his***at my 3 wheeled Ferrari that is
sitting a hundred yards in the distance...
My fast lap at Mexico only happened because I blew turn one...I got into
the turn late and the back end started comming around..I was almost 90
degrees sideways all through
the decreasing radius of turn one....the armco was get close, the corner was
getting tighter
and I had already curled up in a fetal position waiting for the big
bang....when suddenly the wheels gripped and I found myself pointing
perfectly at the straight line through the
chicane...pure chance ...NEVER be able to duplicate that first turn...

Err.. Todd... chosing someone with a 53.3 seconds lower handicap is
not really a comparable buddy :)

Yeah take it easy on him Andre...We slugs have to stick together..if he
wants to use
me as a target, then thats fine.  Lord knows if he passes me on the rankings
then he'll be just one of another 1700 + guys...:)

Hehe.  Very impressive :)  You'd be amazed how quick you can improve if you
keep playing regularly, say maybe >10 hours gpl a week for the next month
and I wouldn't be surprised to see your rank down to +50, seriously.
Getting under 9 minutes at the ring can be a real struggle though,
particularly with those pedals on the LWFF.
