GP3 isn't a DX8 game, so you will see no speed increase.  DX8 isn't faster
than DX7 anyway, it just has more features.

DX8 shouldn't give you any problems unless your system is ***ed to start
with.

I've run it on 3 different operating systems (98se, ME and Win2K) on two
different systems since it came out and have had no problems with it at all.

DX8 does make GP3 run faster.

If you check out the comparisons DX8 is faster than DX8, normally only
slightly but GP3 happens to be one of a few games that run quite a bit
better.

Hell, at times I swear my system _is_ ***ed and it seems to be more
stable with DX8 than with DX7a.

I've found that GPL runs quite a lot faster with DX8 than DX7 (at least at
Bremgarten) - the problem is that it now occasionally stutters, whereas it
never did with DX7.

I take it back it DOES improve GP3 to install Dx8
