I'm new to the sim racing world and have N2, actually Nas50th, I'm a little
annoyed that the sim applies the brakes automatically coming into a curve. I
don't understand why it does that, I'd like to be in charge of when I choose
to start slowing down. I can't find any settings that turn this on/off. Every
setting I can find in the game is set to realistic. Any suggestions?
Thnx.

Check under options/controls. Or, while driving, hit Alt-B.

Did they remove the ALT-B and ALT-H options for brakes and gears from N3? If
they didn't, I can't get it to work.

It's in the options menu... braking help and shifting help :)

Yeah, I know, but in N1 and N2 you could do it from the keyboard while
racing.

Papy intentionally removed it.  I wish they hadn't - some pit roads are
tough to maintain speed in...

Exactly. That's the place where I would turn it on and off, and occasionally
turning on auto shifting on a road course. It's a pain to do it now because you
have to leave the race.
