demo...there is wheel/joystick ff support, a damage model, the cars are
heavier and don't jump as much anymore.

The car still feels too light for me, and the physics don't seem to
model the tyre/ground contact. Beside that, again, it isn't bad,
I think I'll buy it...

I uninstalled the Wingman software, restarted, then re-installed with
the newest drivers. Everything was fine after that, with both N3 and
Rally Championship.
Something must have gone goofy after my first DX7 reboot, because N3
was fine after it first restarted my system and updated the DX
settings. Odd.

The car still feels a little bit to willing to get back in line after
slide, and it also seems to do it rather quickly.
I realize it's front wheel drive, and the front tends to pull straight
as you gas if you're out of shape, but the car almost seems to pivot
over to the tail, rather than pull the tail in line with the front.
That said, Magnetic Fields responded quickly to the input on a demo
most of us weren't intended to see, and I really admire them for that.
I hope there is just a little more tweaking to the car models, but I'm
springing for the full version either way. Good job.
Tim
How did you get it working?
Same probs here, weird keyboard menu, Saitek FF wheel is not recognized...
BTW, I use directx 6.1
TIA

Good luck,

FYI - if you have this problem the only way your contollers will be
recognized by your game/sim is to have the Game Controllers applet open.
That's right. BIG PROBLEM.
Needles to say I spent all of last night and part of today getting back
to DirectX 6. If you need assistance uninstalling DirectX 7 there is a
great utility at http://www.ebrink.com/dxun/DxUn10t.exe BUT be aware
there are two INF files included in this little package and one of them
will clean up DX7 excluding DirectSound and DirectInput while the other
will blow those away as well. Take it from me if you uninstall
DirectInput/DirectSound you will probably need to re-install Win98 to get
them back - at least I did. Currently I am very happy with DX6 :)
Good luck!

I'm not using DX7, so that could be it ...
