Hello, greetings from Portugal

I have a new 2D/3D ASUS V3000ZX 8Mb video card and I can't get any 3d
graphics within GPL.

in the graphics options it always says "NO 3D CARD". when I try to select
3dfx or render and restart the game... well, there it is again: "NO 3D"

I would apreciate some help

Hi,

you have a very old card the asus v3000ZX uses the riva 128 chip
and this card can not run gpl fast enough even if it works with the beta
opengl driver
which you can get at www.papy.com
if you bought this card not long ago try to exchange it for a Voodoo 2 or a
voodoo 3

That's because you don't have a 3D card...that GPL supports. It must be
Glide (3dfx) or Rendition compatible. It should list the requirements on
the box and in the manual if you need details as to what will work.

I had the same problem with my SBLive card, try re-installing the
software/drivers for the card. then re-install the game and choose 3DFX
install as opposed to rendition. That seemed to do the trick for me.
Although I gotta say as far as GPL goes I found that the rendition mode
was slightly better than the 3DFX mode IMHO.
