To make a long story short:

Recently i joined a league RSR PRO CUP http://www.racesimcentral.net/

I was dropped after 2 races (12th and 7th finishes) with no incidents
(my current LPI is 90+)

dropped 3 times I got no response.  My wife suggested it was because
my car had "Jesus Saves" as the sponsor. I doubted this, but kept an open
mind, when i continued to ask for the reason why i was dropped, and i asked
if it was because I had "Jesus" on my car these are the responses I got:

"What do you want Tarrant, your money back? Get a grip."

"Ok, here's my opinion........follow closely now. GOODBYE TARRANT."

It would seem that "Jesus" is not allowed in the RSR PRO CUP.
It shouldn't take a Christian to be upset about this, RSR feels
they can ***on the constitution apparently.

I would ask that you support me in encouraging TeamRSR in stating why
I was dropped from this league if not for having "Jesus" on my car.

All i wanted was an explanation.

They use the server of team FLM, one of the most respected teams online.
I AM SENDING FLM A COPY OF THIS FOR THEIR EVALUATION
I DO NOT HOLD THEM RESPONSIBLE. If u havnt been to their site
I would reccommend u do !

What does the constitution have to do with it?  It's a private league run on a
private(for all intents and purposes) server.  They can do whatever they want,
for whatever REASON they want...
Sorry, but you're crying 'foul' for the wrong reasons.  I also tend to think
there's more to this than you're sharing.  The average person who was offended
by your 'sponsor' would have just asked you to remove it first.  The fact that
they ignored you, then gave a cryptic answer sounds a bit fishy.

First, let's review the rules, and reveal the reasons for being
kicked out (the reasons below cite the RSR rule number):

1) Solo spinning a 2nd time and not exiting the race

3) Flaming at any time

9) Continually causing problems

*) Unspoken rule - somehow you managed to***off one or more of the
admins

So which of these things did you do?

-----------

I doubt seriously if their reason for booting you out is what you
have painted on your car, since they're apparantly not as demanding
as RASCAR is (since they didn't even mention it in their rules).

-----------

Exactly how are they "crapping on the Constitution"?  They're not
preventing you from bearing arms, speaking freely, publicly
assembling, and this most certainly isn't a church and state issue.

-----------

IMHO, you are entitled to an explanation if you HONESTLY don't know
why you were expelled. but at the same time, the league admins don't
have to say why.

Since you responded to me instead of Paul, I have to ask:  You're calling *me*
a victim, Dan?  Why is that?

Forgetting all the bull***in this thread,  I'm just wondering why the
subject is "ALL AMERICANS READ" ??  What does being an American have to
do with Jesus or a private racing league?  Are ALL Americans Christian??

Just wondering

At the very least, it should not have been brought up publicly unless
someone asked for an opinion about the league.  At that point, you
would have been justified in expressing your feelings.  If they don't
want to tell you why they kicked you out, that's their choice, and
you should probably just leave it at that.

-----------

I personally don't like having religion of any kind thrust in my face
at any time, but as long as your car doesn't say "Jesus Saves (but
non-Christians suck)", there's nothing wrong with having it on your
car short of realistic considerations pertaining to paint schemes.

You're not likely to see that phrase on a stockcar (despite the
apparent deeply held religious beliefs of most stockcar drivers)
because Jesus may save, but the sponsor pays out the big bucks, so
the sponsor gets his name on the hood and the quarterpanels.

We have a guy in RASCAR (#85 car I think) with some sort of religious
slogan on the decklid, and unless he screws up or otherwise pisses
off one of the admins, we're not gonna kick him out. :)

I'm not one (I really don't see the point in any specific religious
belief system, but that's a subject for another thread in
alt.religion.nonbelievers), and while the title is kinda weird, I
think the thread has an acceptably low level of bull***(so far).

It is the right for freedom of expression, a concern to all
americans, hence the name of the thread. NOT just
a Christian issue.

It doesnt matter what religion u are, YOU have the right to
express it. and so don't I.

"Right to free speech" is in the constitution.

If they didn't allow me in because i was black, people would freak.

but discriminating against a christian is O.K. ?

I tried several times to get a response in private email
with no luck, that is why I went public. As I have defended
OUR constitution for 23 years serving in the military I
take great offense to such a lame attitude towards it.

Reading this thread just ticks me off.  I am going to "Jump to Conclusions" and
"Make an Assumption."

It sounds to me, from the tenor of your original post, that you are part and
parcel of the "I Am Not Responsible For My Own Actions" crowd.

It sounds as if you were kicked out for a valid reason, but due to your
inability to accept responsibility for your lack of talent to compete, you
decided it would be far easier to say it had to do with religion.

This absolves you of having to say you screwed up and or admitting that you
couldn't cut it.  You are able to justify this by screaming long and loud in a
newsgroup like this.

Let me tell you something.  Saying it loudly and with conviction don't make it
so.

My apologies to the newsgroup, as I really don't have any inside info or facts
on the subject, just what I read here.

But it just sounds like what I hear daily from people all over.  IT"S NOT MY
FAULT!

That's the spirit...

He placed 7th and 12th in the races.  I didn't notice if it was the
lead lap (I went to the web page to see), but those are respectable
showings, IMHO.  And his 90+ LPI ain't too shabby either.  My LPI is
only 56...

Well, I don't think he should have brought it here, but beyond that,
and assuming that he didn't break any of the rules that promised
expulsion from the league if broken, you have to wonder why he was
kicked out.  If it was because of the paint scheme and he was not
provided with a chance to change the paint scheme in order to comply
with their as yet unspecified painting rules, that was just plain
wrong, IMHO.

John, in reality, I couldn't agree more.  It's just the strident tenor of the
post in which he presented the case that made my gut twitch that there is some
"other" as yet undefined reason for his expulsion.  It made me feel as if he
was told, but doesn't believe the reasoning.

Of course I expected to have to stand here all day with my fingers on the "Pull
In Case Of Fire" switch, so it was nice that you spoke in a quiet, reserved and
even handed manner.  So unlike you :)))  (Tongue Firmly Planted In Cheek)
